Based in the Greater New York, New York Jets professional football team. They are members of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), the National League Football (NFL). They play their home match in East Rutherford, NJ Giants Stadium, the name of another NFL team, the New York Giants. In the Jets officially refer to the location as "Meadowlands," a name used on all official NFL and team game notes Jets home game.
The seat the club is at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, on Long Island. They build a training center and headquarters in Florham Park, New Jersey.
When Jets began in 1960 as an act of a member of the American Football League under the name New York Titans. Renamed after Sonny Werblin bought the team in 1963, and more later joined the NFL in the AFL-NFL merger.
In Jets have the characteristic of the first AFL team to win the NFL club in the AFL-NFL World Championship game when they defeated the Baltimore Colts Super Bowl III.
Franchise History
Originally known as the New York Titans, the team played a home game of polo in the park. After 5 to 9 in the 1962 season, a team in the future is clear. The plane came down during a season of high hopes of competing for the Super Bowl, but in three weeks against the Jaguars when Chad Pennington reinjured his shoulder. Their backup quarterback Jay Fiedler was injured six plays after Pennington. On the damage caused by the anterior third quarterback Brooks Bollinger to take the role of group for beginners and Vinny Testaverde was brought back to the Board of Bollinger as the backup. After poor performance of the Jets offense is a loss, Testaverde will start Week 5 game against Tampa Bay. His steady hand led the attack, and Curtis Martin scored two touchdowns, giving the Jets just enough to get 14 to 12 victories over Buccaneers previously invincible.
