Safariland have set the retention levels in three categories. Each level of retention gives the user a specific amount of security to prevent the gun eliminated by one unjustified.

Although many manufacturers claim if they have any form of detention at the time of this article Safariland is the only company that have set the retention levels and integrated with their current lines of the sources.

Safariland Level I Retention

However, since most departments require annual or biannual qualifications only the gun and a case, there is a good opportunity for Level III will result in draws miscue.

Safariland has recommended the case of a user level III should practice drawing and sheathing the weapon is 200 times before they actually use the diplomatic pouch service. However, was duly noted the majority of police officers and users are unwilling to invest that amount of time to ensure you are completely comfortable with the methods of storage of Level III holster.
