We are very happy here in Calgary, Alberta, to have a professional regulatory body (RECA) in place, but enough to trust someone with a real estate license? The truth is that there are several levels of quality, style and certainly business competition.
You should be asking the following questions: - the representative of real estate have your best interests at heart? But more importantly, they are even able to properly represent you? There are some real estate agents with the best intentions in the world in May, but simply lack the ability to properly represent you and the investment of your life. Buildings in general, is relatively easy to enter, but very hard to earn the life. Competition in this industry is in full swing. In the Calgary Real Estate Board, there are approximately 5,400 registered real estate agents and selling an average of 1800-2200 units per month. This strong competition to win customers sometimes take the brunt of the agent ... Some estate agents will do everything possible to make a client. Obviously, this has sense from a standpoint of time management as it does not run with customers who are not skilled enough to deprive other important clients or perhaps her family. But do you believe in "love at first sight?
From my experience, buyers and sellers are looking for a little more knowledge in the beginning. They think of you to buy a house in the future, but perhaps not immediately. Why not educate potential customers before asking for the order? The key is that you should report to your real estate agent of your expectations and if its aspects, be sure to keep its market share as well. Remember that represent their needs, not ours - but is a two way street.
You should think very seriously about what motivates your next real estate agent? Ask the question - Why you are in real estate? Are they really in the game to find the best home for you, for the right price ... or maybe they are just trophy hunting of being number '1 'In the office during the month of July?
Is not it amazing how many number 1 Realtors who are in any newspaper or on billboards? So what with 20 years of combined experience, if you hire us? Is it supposed to say that there are 20 estate agents in your computer with each of them in business for one year or to have only two real estate agents on a computer, one with 1 year experience and a real estate agent 19 years experience and who is drinking pina colada in Hawaii-some help? Obviously, someone does not tell the whole story.
The truth is that if an agent producer above focused on Customer relations to self-centered and only interested in their needs, then perhaps we will focus on future education customers and continuously feeding knowledge, rather than tell you how many homes sold in the past.
Most of us think that experience is better and more practice makes perfect. A couple of summers ago, I decided to take some golf lessons. My teacher asked me to show my swing. So here I'm on the driving range and I squared the ball and I think I was the best move of my life. My teacher said it was the best chance we had seen for a long time ... He continued explaining that it was a miracle I'm still able to hit the ball with handles and support I have. It was not until some time after this lesson course I had my "aha" moment. You see the practice is only worthwhile if conscious practice. I could hit the ball a hundred times more, but if the ball the wrong way for the rest of my life, so I'm never going to improve.
The most important point here is something that your realtor did not know that ultimately will hurt one way or another.
Age half Realtors Out There is a little more than 50 years. It is likely that many of them have formed 20 years ago. Well, things have changed .... much. Be sure to ask your real estate agent following about his history of education. Similar to information technology, this industry is evolving on a daily basis, and must ensure that your representative is on top of his game real estate at all times.
To the end of the day, there are many real estate agents for you to choose from. I urge you to look beyond what people say in their flashy ads or what's printed on their business cards. Ask lots of questions before deciding, objectively and look at this person reasons. Good luck with the rest.
